How much notice do I need for a cancellation?
I ask for at least 24 hours notice for a cancellation if you’re unable to keep your appointment.

Do I need a photo to communicate with an animal?
It’s very helpful to me to have a photo of your animal during an appointment. If you are unable to find or send a photo, we can work without one, but, if it’s possible, I’d like to have a photo. If there are other animals in your household, it’s helpful to have photos of them as well, since other animal members of the family sometimes have valuable perspectives to offer during an appointment.

Should I make a list of my questions for my animal(s)?
Some people find it helpful to make a list of their questions and concerns before an appointment so they don’t forget any of them while we are talking. We are not limited to the questions you draft and will just follow where our conversation with the animal(s) leads us. You don’t need to send the list of questions to me ahead of time but you’re welcome to do so if you want.

Can I talk with more than one animal?
We can talk with as many animals as we have time for, but I don’t like to hurry any animal in order to get to all animals in one appointment. In my experience it’s better to schedule a second appointment if necessary and give each animal the time it needs to fully express him (or her)self.

Do I need to be with my animal when we talk?
Since animal communication takes place without regard to physical proximity or normal sensory channels, it is not necessary for your animal to be with you during an appointment. You can be at work or away from home. Although Mirjam prefers you to be in a quiet setting, which is better for you to filter the information.

How often does my animal needs treatment?
Healing and communication can sometimes be successful after one treatment. However, more than one session may be required depending on the condition.

What is healing?
Healing is a simple, safe and supportive energy therapy that can be used for any condition. The Healer is a channel through which the natural universal healing energy flows to link with the animal’s energy field. Healing enables the animal to access its own resources to stimulate healing, giving a sense of wellbeing and peace. Healing aims to bring balance to the mind, body and soul to balance and harmonise the whole being.

What is distant healing?
Healing energy is not limited by distance, time or space. It can therefore be given from a distance when it is not possible to receive physical hands on treatment.

What are the benefits of healing?

• Works alongside other therapies and helps other treatments work on a deeper level.
•  Can be used safely for all conditions with no adverse side effects.
• Restores balance and boosts the immune system.
• Gets to the root cause of a problem, not just the presenting condition.
• Brings out the positive aspects of the character, allowing the animal to express their emotions and release negative energy from the past.
• Helps improve the rate of soft tissue and bone repair in a physical illness or injury and before or after an operation.
• For pain relief. Healing releases natural painkillers - endorphins and aids relaxation.
• For trauma and shock.
• At times of stress and depression. For example a change of owner and/ or home, loss of companion and death.
• For maintenance of good health. Healing can be given preventatively and is therapeutic for elderly animals.
• When terminally ill, healing can give a sense of peace to help the animal make the transition.

It may be necessary to make changes to the animal’s environment and management for the healing to be beneficial long term. In some cases it is advisable for owners to have healing as well so they can connect on a deeper level with their animal.
